Gyumri Central Park (Gorki Park)

Gyumri Central Park (Gorki Park)

Gyumri's oldest and most beloved central park is located in the heart of the city at the beginning of Gai Street. It is a spacious green area with children's playgrounds, amusement rides, numerous statues and monuments, including a Greek-style arched monument from where there is a wonderful view of the Mother Armenia statue and the Black Fortress. It is an ideal place for family relaxation, picnics, strolling, and taking photos. The name is associated with Maxim Gorky since 1936, but people call it "Gorki Sad" because of the hilly terrain.

Friendship Park

Friendship Park

Friendship Park in Gyumri is one of the city's central and most beloved green spaces, revitalized in 2018–2020 as part of the IDeA Foundation's Gyumri Revival program. The park offers family-friendly recreation: playgrounds, amusement rides, sports zone, stage and an ice rink (in winter). It regularly hosts concerts, children's events, sports competitions (e.g., backgammon championships), New Year celebrations, and creative gatherings. Open year-round, Friendship Park has become a new landmark of Gyumri, blending nature, entertainment, and community spirit.
