Black Castle
The Black Fortress (Sev Berd) is a prominent historical landmark in Gyumri. Built in 1834 by the Russian Empire, it functioned as a strategic military fortification against the Ottoman Empire. The fortress is named after the black tuff stone used in its construction. Today, it stands as a premier cultural venue and concert hall, renowned for its unique circular architecture and extraordinary acoustics.

Gyumri Central Park (Gorki Park)
Gyumri's oldest and most beloved central park is located in the heart of the city at the beginning of Gai Street. It is a spacious green area with children's playgrounds, amusement rides, numerous statues and monuments, including a Greek-style arched monument from where there is a wonderful view of the Mother Armenia statue and the Black Fortress. It is an ideal place for family relaxation, picnics, strolling, and taking photos. The name is associated with Maxim Gorky since 1936, but people call it "Gorki Sad" because of the hilly terrain.

Ozhiti Shenq
The “Dowry House” (“Ozhiti Shenq”) was built in the 1890s by the city’s prominent wealthy merchant and philanthropist Levon Drampyan as a dowry (wedding gift) for his daughter Javahir khanum. The building was luxurious with rich interiors and became a symbol of wedding opulence. Despite its glorious past, the structure is now in poor condition it is deteriorating, in need of restoration and preservation. It is an important part of Gyumri’s historic center and is frequently referred to as an architectural gem of the city.
