The Armenian Diasporas are Armenian communities, living outside of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh. The total number of Armenians around the world is 10-12 million.





    Armenians in Russia - Armenians started to settle down in Russia starting from the 13th century. There are over 2,500,000 Armenians living in Russia, nowadays. Armenians mostly live in Moscow, Krasnodar, Stavropol, Yekaterinburg, Northern Osia, Sochi, Doni Rostov, St. Petersburg, Adigea, Novorossiysk, Moscow regions, Yakutia, Armavir, Volgograd, Kaliningrad and in other cities.








    Armenians in the US - Armenians started to settle in the US starting from the 19th century. There are over 1,500,000 Armenians living in the US, nowadays. The most populated state with Armenians is California, which is often called “the American Armenia”. There are many Armenians living in New York, New Jersey, Rod Island, Michigan, Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida, Connecticut, Texas and in other states.









    Armenians in France - Armenians settled down in France at the beginnning of the 6th century. Their number grew gradually, especially after the collapse of the Armenian Cilician State (14th century), then during the 15-16th centuries, small Armenian colonies were created in Marcel, Paris and in other cities. The current number of Armenians living in France is 900,000. Most of the Armenians live in Paris, Marcel, Versal, Lion, Nice, Puatie, La Roshel, Bordeaux, Sen Shamon, Vien, Valan, Nis.











    Armenians in Iran - Armenians started to settle down in Iran since the ancient times.  However, from 1604-05 Shah Abas initiates the exodus of over 300,000 Armenians towards Persia. Currently, the number of Iranian Armenians is over 560,000, living in Spaha, Tehran, Tabriz, Khoy, Urmia and other places.  










    Armenians in Gerogia - Armenians came to Georgia since the ancient times, most of them after the separation of Armenia and Georgia in 387. There are over 250,000 Armenians in Georgia, mostly living in Samtskhe-Javakheti, Tbilisi, Kvemo Kartli, Batumi, Kobuleti, Surami, Gori and other places.








    Armenians in Lebanon - Armenians settled down in Lebanon back in the times of Tigran the Great. Many Armenians were living in Asoriq and other places surrounding it. Especially, after the fall of Ani, there was a mass migration of Armenians to Lebanon and later on their community became bigger. Currently, there are over 254,000 Armenians living in Lebanon.   













    Armenians in Turkey - Armenians lived in the area of modern Turkey since the earliest times, before the Turkish establishment. The Armenian highlands, most of which are in the area of Turkey, it is the historic motherland of Armenians. Because of the Armenian genocide, all of the Western Armenians were completely displaced. There are over 70,000 Armenians living in Turkey, nowadays. There are also Armenians called “tsptyal Armenians”, these are Armenians who were forced to convert into Muslim during the genocide, they were adopted by Muslims, kidnapped or found shelter at their neighbor. Their total number by statistics can be more than 5 million. 




    Armenian diaspora



    Many Armenians live in Syria, Argentina, Ukraine, Poland, Canada, Australia, Uzbekistan, Spain, Germany, Brazil, Greece, Bulgaria, Belarus, Israel, Uruguay and other countries.
